04 – 16 October 2024 – FIRE PREVENTION DISPLAY BOOTH
The Fire Prevention Display Booth will be located at the CANEX Lobby.
Come out and participate in the ballot contest and take-home Fire Prevention Week pamphlets. The draw will be held on Wed 17 October and the winners will be contacted.

OFFICIAL COMMENCEMENT OF FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
08 October – FIRE EXTINGUISHER INSPECTION / MAINTEANCE PROGRAM
- Location: Base Fire Hall, 150 Ortona Road
- Time: 10:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs
- Military or DND employee’s identification required for free service.
- Available to: CFB Borden Military and DND Support Team Members (ID required)
- Bring your old fire extinguisher to the Fire hall display, we will inspect it and we may exchange it for a new one. We will also present a short briefing on how to use the Fire Extinguisher.
09 October – FIRE DRILLS
Fire drills will be conducted at all Borden Elementary Schools.
10 October – UNIT FIRE PREVENTION OFFICER/FIRE WARDEN AWARDS
The Fire Chief and Chief Fire Prevention Officer will present the awards for the outstanding UFPO and FW for 2024 at their respective workplaces.
12 October 2024 – CLOSING OF FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
