PSS sees members celebrated for their service in promotion ceremony
On October 30, 2024, CFB Borden’s Personnel Support Services (PSS) held a promotion ceremony at Dyte Hall recognizing three members for their dedication and service.
Private (Basic) to Private (Trained)

Private Elaine Campbell-Taylor of Toronto joined the CAF as a Human Resources Administrator in 2022. After completing her training, she was assigned to PSS at CFB Borden, where she supports the Base Orderly Room and Base Training List. Her professionalism has earned her a promotion to Private (Trained).

Private Stephen Dean, originally from Panama City, Florida, brought 16 years of civilian culinary experience to the CAF when he enlisted in 2022. He now serves in the Curtis kitchen at CFB Borden, known for his reliability and willingness to take on extra shifts. His dedication has earned him a promotion to Private (Trained).
Promotion to Master Corporal

Master Corporal Courtney Jefferies began her CAF career as a cook in 2017, inspired by her family’s military background. Stationed at CFB Borden, she has risen through the ranks, recently serving as Shift Cook and Shift IC at Vicker’s Dining Hall. Her commitment and leadership have led to her promotion to Master Corporal. Outside of work, Jefferies balances her role with raising her two daughters.
Commanding Officer’s Address
The ceremony concluded with remarks from Commanding Officer (CO) PSS Lieutenant-Colonel Karyne Brown, who commended the members for their contributions. These promotions highlight the growth and commitment of each honouree to the CAF.
