The 2024 Barrie and Angus Santa Claus parades saw the faces of Borden’s very own Command Team
On Saturday, 16 November 2024, members of Borden’s surrounding communities were present for Santa Claus Parades in both Barrie and Angus, Ont. featuring the Command Team atop a LAV 6 float adorned by white Christmas lights, Santa hats and smiles from all.
Lighting up the streets, spirits and hearts of residents in CFB Borden’s surrounding communities, the Command Team is often front and centre at the annual Santa Claus parades.
This year, the Angus Santa Claus parade travelled south on Mill St. towards CFB Borden, and the 2024 Barrie parade traveled along Lakeshore Dr. West, turning onto Dunlop St. on route to Downtown Barrie.
Base Commander Colonel Melissa Ramessar, Base Chief Warrant Officer Jeremy Peters and Honorary Colonel Jennifer Armstrong gave holiday greetings to residents and were one of the first floats in both parades.
For Col Ramessar and CWO Peters, these were their first Santa Claus parades together representing Borden.
At the tail of the celebration was Santa Claus himself pulled by reindeers in his sleigh. To watch back the best moments of the Barrie Santa Claus parade, click here. For a playback of the Angus Santa Claus parade, click here.
