The Borden Bugler welcomes submissions from both the military and local communities on our website and e-edition.

The Borden Bugler is published monthly on the last day of every month.
Article Submission Guidelines
Article Length
We ask that you limit your articles to 350 words. Each article is published in both official languages, English and French, making a 350-word article take up the space of a 700+ word article, when in both languages.
Translated Articles
For any patrons with access to official languages translation services, we ask that you submit your article for translations before sending it to us. If you do not have access, we will happily have your article translated. Please note: The translation bureau turnaround time can be up to 48 hours. Please consider this if your article is time sensitive.
Photos
All photos submitted must include:
- Photo Credit: (Photographer’s First and Last name/Institution, Company, or Source)
- Ex: (Caleb Hooper/Borden Bugler)
- You must be the rightful photo owner OR must have permission to use the photo. Include the source in this instance instead of a name
- Ex: (Courtesy of Borden Bugler)
- Photo Caption: Description of the photo including names of people who appear, location, and date.

If you have more photos, we’d love to share them. Please email hooper.caleb@cfmws.com with a WeTransfer or Dropbox link (or attach to email if they are 5MB or less in size). We will happily host them alongside the article on the website or post them to our Facebook page.
Time Sensitive Articles
Submission deadlines for time sensitive articles: Please let us know two to three weeks in advanced if you wish for your article to be included in our e-edition or website. Our article lineup and ad spaces are planned weeks or months in advance we have to plan for the space adequately.
If you have made us aware that your article is coming, we can receive a time-sensitive article no later than three weeks prior to the last day of the month. If your article is pre-translated in English and French, we can accommodate it up until two weeks prior to publication.
We do our best to accommodate all time sensitive articles, however, we cannot guarantee publication in print due to the number of submissions we receive, relevancy and priority.
We reserve the right to edit articles, headlines and photo captions for spelling, grammar, and sentence structure.
