Celebrating Canadian Multiculturalism Day

27 June marks Canadian Multiculturalism Day, an opportunity to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures, traditions, and communities that help shape Canada’s identity.

Across the country, this day recognizes the many cultural groups that contribute to society, while encouraging reflection on the values of inclusion and mutual respect.

At CFB Borden, diversity is reflected in the people who live, work, and serve here. Members bring a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, each strengthening our community and supporting success.

Canadian Multiculturalism Day is a chance to:

  • Celebrate the cultures and traditions that make Canada unique.
  • Learn something new about the communities around us.
  • Recognize the contributions of Canadians from all backgrounds.
  • Reflect on the importance of inclusion, respect, and understanding.
  • Build stronger connections within our workplaces and communities.

Whether through local events, shared stories, or personal reflection, Canadians are encouraged to take part in activities that highlight diversity and foster a sense of belonging.

As we mark this day, we are reminded that multiculturalism is one of Canada’s greatest strengths, which helps build a strong and vibrant Canadian society.
